Ecovent determines a baseline volumetric flow during the initial calibration process, which happens upon installation.

As Ecovent adjusts vent openings, if the total volumetric flow decreases significantly for a given static pressure we know there may be leaks. Having measurements at every supply point allows us to identify, and in some cases compensate for, inefficiencies in the ducting.
